James Deen will star in next Lindsay Lohan film

Apparently, James Deen wants to be more than just one of today’s hottest male porn stars. The 26-year-old adult film star has agreed to work with actress Lindsay Lohan and director Paul Schrader (Taxi Driver, Raging Bull) on a new film called The Canyons, which follows a group of 20-somethings as they look for love, power, success, and of course sex in Hollywood.

This shouldn’t come as surprising to any of Deen’s fans. Deen has attracted such a large following because he doesn’t look like your average porn star. In fact, he looks more like the proverbial “boy next door.” His fans are enchanted by his soft blue eyes and, instead of being over 6 feet tall and packed with muscle, James Deen is 5’8 and slender.

His porn work reflects his character. Deen has created a demand for so-called “lady porn” in which more attention is placed into pleasing the woman than the man. ABC’s Nightline even described James Deen as the “porn star who holds hands with his leading ladies, who gazes into their eyes and is quick to be romantic.”

So how did he get wrapped up in The Canyons movie? Well, James Deen’s role will reportedly feature nudity as well as explicit sex scenes, so that was no doubt part of it. Producers for the movie also undoubtedly realized the young actor’s potential as a lovable, edgy movie star.

We also suspect some casting agent may have been researching some of James Deen’s past work. You know, just to be sure they found the right guy.

Production on The Canyons will begin July 9 in Los Angeles.
