We all dread going to the DMV. Most of us hate it because of the long lines and the less than helpful drones that occupy the DMV. Mackenzee Pierce was at the DMV recently and found another reason why she didn’t like it there. Check out what she tweeted here.

I saw that tweet months ago and called her out on it. She responded back by saying that she has Latin relatives but they’re educated. I let her know it was also wrong to assume they were Mexican. they could have been some other nationality. whatever, she’s ignorant.

The sweetheart is right. In fact, her views about illegal immigration fall in line with much of the nation, including President Obama’s. Illegal immigration is a problem that needs to be dealt with. If an immigrant decides to live in America, then he/she should speak the language, and fly the American flag. No if/and/ or buts about that. And there is nothing racist about that.
But more specifically, she said something about minorities being “slow?” Maybe she could have been more precise. (Of course, twitter demandss brevity.) But in no way could a reasonable person link that statement, and a racist heart. If we are going to judge peoples racial tolerance by twitter statements, that by its technological concept prevents full explanations. Then i suspect that most of us would fail that “twitter” test.
Finally, as a black male i found it stunning, that an adult actress who has worked with black talent could be label so “quickly” as a racist.
As someone who has spent his life dealing with racism, and exposing it when possible. This is a case where i think someone has been unfairly labeled. As such, Miss. Pierce is owed an apology…
